I think I’ve beat a personal record by doing this one. When i make amv’s, it mostly took me more than 2 days but i finished this in only a matter 1 and a half day. I had to stay all night just to finished this b4 the deadline and when i finally thought, “Ah i can finally rest, all i need is to upload it…” and BAM! when the upload que finished, there’s no music in it!!! argh, this really me off. T,T i had to convert my audio to disable the copyright tag so the music isn’t that much great…

This is a re-upload of an old video previously ruined by WMG’s copyright naziism, a guitar FC on arguably one of Metallica’s all-time greatest songs, “Fade To Black”.
Pretty much every comment I’ve gotten on my previous upload is “ZOMG you up an amazing song! You suck!” But what they don’t understand is I had to distort the audio to keep the video up. But now I decided “fuck it”, and now I’m uploading it again with the original audio.
Metallifact: This song’s lyrics may talk about suicide, but what actually inspired this song was the band’s equipment being stolen in Boston. Also, during a 1992 show in Montreal, James Hetfield got burned by the pyrotechnics during this song.
I made a couple mistakes with the star power path in this run, but whatever. I’m just happy to have FCed it with 500k. The first activation requires PERFECT whammying, so it can be really tricky. But it can be done.
This is actually a re-FC. My first FC got me the win in a GH Community highscore tournament, and was 200 points less than this run. So I decided to re-FC it on video since someone requested it.
This song is officially licensed by Activistion and Neversoft for use and playback in the music/rhythm video game Guitar Hero Metallica. The video is only meant to showcase gameplay footage of the song in the game. “Fade To Black” can be found on Metallica’s “Ride The Lightning” album, released in 1984 by Elektra Records, a subsidiary of the dark lord Warnermort.

“Described by Pantha Du Prince as ‘a frequency inaudible to man, something archaic and earthly, the calm before the storm’, the phenomenon of Black Noise was as much of a challenge to render in visual media as it was to make an album that encapsulated this elusive substance. The central process used for the trailer was part mechanical automation, part digital archaeology; an excavation of still and moving images, looking beyond their native pixels into seams of solid colour and unstable shapes. The forms that were explored came from similar natural sources as the music, the harsh powers of wind and ice, the beauty of distant lightning and the comfort of warm, external rain.
And sometimes, the beats and rhythms of the music engulf and dictate the process. When the bass thumps at the diaphragm, kaleidoscopic waves and pounding concentric circles dominate the screen.
