This is a way that I discovered to get distortion like sound with actually distorting it. It probably won’t work for the kind of distortion used on a guitar, but for the bass it is a good substitute. It offers an interesting trade off of control: it lets the player have complete control of when (by loudness) of when they want distortion, but it only allows for one effect.

Toadworks Mr Ed Distortion guitar effects pedal demo with Stratocaster & Audio Kitchen amp

I used a Fender American Standard Strat, an Audio Kitchen Lil Chopper amplifier , and a white Bullet Coily Cable from CORE ONE. The intro tunes are from a band called BODECO, who I get alot of questions about. Nady TD-1 tube distortion pedal demo ?

I am sorry it took so long .
This is supposed to be my demo of the Nady TD-1 tube distortion box.
There are troubles with the mic connection ..
It may look like I fix the noise with my hand but it’s more like my butt hitting the mic cable.
Starts clean.
I I start with my basic amp sound.
Dropped D jamming on my Tele Elite with active preamp , low imp. pickups and active TBX and MDX used here. A very loud guitar ( See my band vids ) Showing how controllable this sound is.
Using a Boss delay Digitech Delay, Boss PS5 Supershifter and a Boss compressor. Rocktron Austin Gold at the end of the chain but I’m not using it much.
I then turn it up .
Mesa Boogie subway Blues on 2 (7;30 on a clock face) with external closed cab mic’d with Sennheiser e609s
right into my camera . You can sort of see the settings and when I turn the Knobs.
For about the first minute the gain is in lower range . then I do a long time on the middle range which is where I live. By 4 minutes I am up in the high range.
I am also using the MDX on my guitar which adds 20 or so db hehe.

Summer NAMM ‘09 – Visual Sound Vans Warped Distortion & Open Road Demos

http://www.premierguitar.com PG’s Joe Coffey is On Location in Nashville, TN, for Summer NAMM ‘09 where he visits the Visual Sound booth. In this segment, we get to check out three of their newest pedals – V2 Vans Warped Distortion, Open Road Overdrive and Truetone Clean Boost.

The V2 Vans Warped Distortion is limited edition pedal that has three basic controls – Grind, Edge, and Loud (translation: Drive, Tone, Volume). The Vans Warped Distortion is definitely geared towards Warped Tour inspired guitarists. The Visual Sound guys were really proud of its grinding, low-end distortion, which is pertinent to a lot of the Warped Tour bands’ tone.

Based on Visual Sound’s Route 808, the Open Road offers that tone but with a more open sounding, amp-like overdrive with less dominant mid-range. It produces clear low end, sparkling highs and none of the mid-range hump. Open Road features a very interactive tone circuit, effecting not only high-end roll-off, but gain structure as well.

Truetone Clean Boost is a way to push the front end of your tube amp. Then again, it’s also a great way to push a good overdrive pedal a bit harder. If you like the tone you already have from another pedal, just put Truetone after that pedal for a volume boost as the Visual Sound guys said its great for a solo boost or to make a certain part stand out.The Truetone can get up to a 15dB boost, but it runs internally off of 27V. So, all of that boost is clean. They bump up the voltage inside the pedal, rather than requiring use of a special external power supply.

Most of the Marshall Models that can be found on the Line 6 POD X-3, just the Amps emulation, without any effect or stomp box simulation added. Played with an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. The models included in this videos are:

Carvin CS6 California Single + Ibanez Tube King (TK999HT) + Ibanez TBX150R sound demo

Showing the versatility and tone of my new axe, Carvin CS6. I’m using the guitar’s volume control to go from clean to distortion. It has coil taps so you can get some strat-ish sound out of it too.

The setting on the Tubeking is Bass +3; Mid +5; High -2 (Tubeking has active eq); Gain 5; Level 6.5; and Noise gate off. Also, I replaced the stock tube with Tungsol 12ax7 but the stock tube sounded just fine.

The setting on the TBX is Bass 1; Mid 2; and High 0 and this too has an active eq. The gain nob is at 3 and level was around 6 on the clean channel without the over drive switch on.

I also used the zoom g2. 1u pedal but only to add slight delay.
