TF2 – Prune Juice

April 102010

Something I made awhile ago. I made the sound effects before the skin itself (lol purple piss). Still a WIP (thinking of putting a label on it).

Also pure servers are lame because they distort my sounds or play them high pitch.

Inspired by SSH:MM1:WTF.

Harmonica minor blues – fat aplified sound with zero equipment (see the recipe)

March 232010

Improvisation on minor blues. Backing track used without permission from great website onlinejam.org, but you wouldn’t tell them, would ya? :)

TIP on how to get this kind of sound:

1. Download a convolution plugin for the software you are using. In my case it was convolver.sourceforge.net for Audition.
2. Go to http://noisevault.com/ and download impulses from gear you would like to use. In my case it is Pod 6 processor. Impulses are like fingerprints of different setups, which, being applied to a raw sound file, produce a sound imitating certain piece of gear. It was something like Tweed Blues – Fender Bassman.
3. Cup your computer mic very tight and blow some stuff. Please set the sensitivity low, but keep looking that distortion persists. You will get crappy good-for-nothin’ sound. That’s ok.
4. Apply convolution with from a gear which is good for you.
5. It should be fine. And Experiment more!

Visual Sound Vans Warped Distortion Demo by Tone Factor

March 142010

www.ToneFactor.com – Visual Sound has partnered with the Warped Tour to create a limited edition guitar effect pedal, the Vans Warped Distortion. With appropriately named knobs like Grind, Edge, and Loud (translation: Drive, Tone, Volume), the Vans Warped Distortion is totally geared towards Warped Tour inspired guitarists. With grinding low-end distortion, it will make you just want to turn all the knobs to “10″ and let it rip. Visual Sound has put all the road-tested features of their renowned V2 pedals into the Warped Distortion, so you won’t ever have to worry about it dying on you in the middle of a gig. The staff of Vans and the Warped Tour were stoked when Visual Sound brought this distortion pedal to them. So many bands on the Warped Tour use Visual Sound products, so it was a natural fit. As a result, Visual Sound has been authorized to produce 500 of the Vans Warped Distortion pedals over the next 12 months.

For more information on this pedal please visit our site or give us a call @! 1-866-612-TONE. Thanks for watching!
