Don’t know how to fix distorted sound (EasyCAP)?

I just got an EasyCAP off of eBay, the picture is fine, everything works properly, but it took me a while to figure out how to record sound. When I finally figured out how to record it, the sound was distorted/fuzzy. I’ve looked for a lot of solutions on other websites, but they don’t answer my problem. Any help on how to fix this problem???? And I have a laptop, with Windows Vista Home Premium.

I don’t know if it is the driver version or something with the input??? Thankyou…

it cant be the driver, drivers just enable your hardware. the quality of sound is from the hardware itself or the settings, example if you have base ect..enabled in your system that may cause it, weak speakers may cause this too. if you’re recording you must’ve used a microphone? use another one and see if the same happens..play music is it fine? if so then your speakers are ok. if it’s the same when playing music then your speakers are weak.

the easiest thing is to check the sound settings, go to control pannel and play with the volume controls. disable microphone or mute it, aswell as line in, and line out if you don’t need them

Always nice to play around with open strings, here the open D string and using notes from the D mixolydian scale on the G string.
You only get this sound and feel with a pick, It would just sound wrong with fingerstyle, therefore all you young bassplayers starting out: be able to play fingerstyle, slap and pickstyle, if you aim at being serious bassplayers that are able to cover many styles.
