why does my SEMI- ACOUSTIC make a wierd kinda distortion/buzzing sound when i play the strings?
well today, i got my guitar outta the case and i started playing it and noticed a wierd kinda distortion or buzzing type of sound, i wasn’t plugged in the amp btw, and the sound sounded like it was coming from the inside, please! if theres any solution, i bought this guitar for £500/$1000 its an epiphone casino hollow body.
Could be a brace came loose. This happens, but it should be fixed ASAP before permanent damage occurs. Normally a luthier/instrument tech can get at them without dissassembling the instrument using special mirrors, lights, clamps, and other tools that can be snaked through the soundholes.
It’s proboally how your playing it.

If the sound isn’t coming from the strings, it sounds like you have something lose inside,
It’s hard to guess, since we can’t hear it?
I’ve got an old Gibson ES 330, which is Gibson’s "sister" to your guitar
