I want to start by saying that youtube has been messing up the audio quality of my last 3 videos. You can hear a lot of background noise, distortion and compression on the lower and higher frequencies. It might not sound any strange to you since you haven’t heard the track in full quality yet but after you listen to the mp3, you’ll know what I mean. The kick totally blasts my speakers in the mp3, while on the uploaded video the beat sounds quite distorted – that’s even in 720p. I’m investigating the reason and hopefully will fix it in time for the next videos. You can always download the mp3s and listen the songs in proper quality. For me it’s a very serious matter since I’m putting a lot of time on this and it’s a shame if it doesn’t come out to your ears as intended.
Now onto the song, I believe this is one of my best remixes ever and I think the reasons can be heard throughout the track. Strong beat, sharp bass and sharper flowing gated pads and leads. I don’t know if this satisfies your needs but for me it’s the definition of progressive house/trance as I was introduced to it in the late 90’s through Global Underground series and DJs such as Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seaman and more.
Back then, along with a few very good friends, it was our absolute obsession. Our food was trance white label vinyls and our drink the various live mp3s of our beloved DJs. Each of us had at least one belt-driven pair of turntables and a cheap mixer. Getting the pitch and the cross patterns right became our second life; our lists of tracks that would mix well where compiled on a weekly basis.
Some of us were eventually able to DJ here and there and gain some stage experience. Middle-high schools would at times host parties inside their school’s gym – of course with formal approval and without alcoholic drinks. I began when I was younger as a secondary DJ then I became the first. Had to make arrangement for the sound systems, the lighting and of course prepare for my DJ set. No, this was not a cute formal party with balloons. 300-500 teenagers (including me) would dance all night to progressive trance magic. That was my magical – but sadly never satisfying – highschool years.
At that time I was trying to produce this kind of music. Software synthesizers back then would be almost non existent – with the few ones like VAZ requiring many seconds of processing before producing a sound. Hardware synths were out of question – try asking your parents for $2000 when you’re 16. Things have changed a lot since then. Software synthesizers are right on my desktop ready to fire on click.
That very unsatisfying feeling of never being able to produce what I wanted was always over my head when I was making music. These 25 remixes I have done throughout the last few months, with all of you guys supporting me and pushing me, were the last pieces in this large emotional puzzle. This track and its sounds are not random clicks here and there till it sounds right. They are exact stereotypes and memories as they emerge from those intense highschool times. That lead/pad sound at 0:52, I couldn’t even dream about making it back then; the beat/bass compilation at 1:10, there was no chance; 1:38 the voice pad, 1:55 the chord lead, 2:46….
This remix for me is a stereotype dream becoming reality. If you have time and you don’t mind leaving U-Kiss alone for a bit, I would suggest you also give a listen to the instrumental (dub) version as it contains all these feelings in their pure form.
That said, I feel U-Kiss have done a good job this time too and they keep raising in the charts. Once one of them (I don’t know their names well) said his dream is that they will become number 1 on some chart. I wish them that they will achieve this soon.

i have an e ren 2gb mp3 player and sometimes a track that i have loaded on it plays fine sometime it is aimosts inaudible ,distorted ect ect.however all the tracks that i have downloade from the net sound perfect on my p/c
U have to find a program to convert the files first.

Hi, I am in a starting metalcore band. I have been screaming and singing clean vocals for almost 3 years of good solid hard practice. April of 2009, i bought a Samson C10U usb Condenser Microphone (they are like $185 [I included the tax] here in Ontario, Canada). I only need a mic for recording purposes, which this mic does a EXCELLENT job at… at least it did for a while… Just recently… coincidently ever since I got my new laptop (Toshiba Satellite L500) things have gone down hill when i record my vocals. I have always used and gotten the hang of Audacity. I don’t know why now, but when i go to do a long scream for example, it will only pick up like half of it, then the other half goes missing, or sounds distorted. I don’t understand… It can’t be the laptop… it is very decent, and way better than my last computer. Here are some specs so maybe someone can help me out?

It’s a condenser mic; Condenser mic’s require a power source. So= check the battery in the microphone, or make sure that it is supplied by a source capable of providing "phantom power"
I have a RCA mp3 player( black, square, buttons on each side) and only channel of sound works. I can hear the background music like karaoke, but the words are very faint and distorted. does anyone know what is wrong?
check under the music settings(idk wat its called on yours)and see what the equalizer is set at or if urs has simulated surround sound lik mine u should just turn it off or change to different mode(mine has karaoke too…..) and there might be a setting for channels(change to stereo) otherwise try different headfones
i have a cassette tape adapter so i can play my mp3 player in my car. when i went to use it in a friend’s car, it started skipping and now the sound is distorted even when used in my car. there is no visible damage, so i do not know what the problem is.
Maybe you should be upgrading your car stereo and get one that has a 1/8" Jack on the front. A direct connection like this will sound much cleaner then the inductive transfer using a Cassette adaptor.
I have a recording (MP3) that I want to record on my voicemail greeting, but when I try putting the speaker to the phone and record it, it sounds distorted and staticy. Is there any software that can connect to my modem and transmit the sound on to the phone? I’ll even settle with software that lets you talk on the phone line. I just want to record it and for it to sound clear. Please help.
If this is your office phone or company phone your voicemail system might be a call pilot. Our model allows you to import .wav files. We do not allow this were I work though, so you could ask the telephone tech at your company or the person who maintains your system if it is possible with your voicemail system.
Please help me i can’t download my songs again any mp3 software which could normalize or equilize the sounds but leave the output loud and clear

If the songs have been saved with the distortion it can’t be undone to make them clearer.
Normalize is used to increase track level to a maximum without distortion.
EQ is used to adjust/enhance frequency ranges.
Neither can take out distortion.
Always check the result of an adjustment before saving.
Audacity has a noise removal function but it’s only effective for constant, low level noise. That also can’t remove distortion.
My earphone jack / line out on my MP3 Player has suddenly become very sensitive and the sound is distorted – it either plays the background music, or base and I’m losing a lot of sound. I have to jiggle the cord a lot and get it in just the right position to be able to listen properly, which makes it very frustrating when I’m jogging etc.
Any idea what could be wrong or how to fix it?
This is most likely the headphone’s plug. They don’t last very long. When unplugging your headphones from the player, always grasp by the plug, not the wire. This will increase headphone life drastically.
On the off-hand chance that IS the player there really is nothing you can do. There are no user serviceable parts and to hire someone to fix it (if you could even find someone who would work on it) would probably cost more than just buying a new player.
