You’re never gonna get the exact sounds of those bands with just one pedal. Head and Munky of Korn have been known to use as many as 7 pedals in combination. Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield have an arsonal of effects at their disposal as do all of the other guitarists you’re trying to emulate. Not to sound repetative, but I’ve had awesome luck using my Zoom G2.1u multi-effects pedal. It not only has the ability to string together overdrive, phazers and flangers at the same time, but it also has an expression pedal for a wah, volume or gain control. To start with, a good distortion/overdrive pedal will give you a foot in the door. After that I would reccomend a phaser, flanger or a wah pedal. Play around and have fun.

It is a baby amp by fender. It is a squier Sp-10 amp. I want to make sounds like Metallica and Disturbed. Help please or tell me some distortion pedals that make metal sounds

Get a EHX metal muff or just mess around with the eq, try less mid, more bass and treble, and always keep a good amount of gain, dont necessarily max it or it might sound muddy/messy

I’m thinking of buying sponges and put it in my speaker box to make my micro hi-fi bass sound better and less distortion… My friend did that to his system (which is a bigger one) and the bass sounds deeper and richer… But i wonder does it works in a small system like mine… Any suggestions?

Not sponges – poly-fil.

Pollyfil is a sound absorption, dampening fiber that will deepen bass, provide cleaner midrange, tone down any unwanted reverberation and improve the dynamic extension of any speaker system.

It also helps eliminate standing waves, which is something like an echo inside the box. This will give you tighter and more accurate bass. It also helps to give a flatter frequency response to the overall sound, which is good. Besides this, it also helps reduce the vibration of the box, which results in less distortion. There is a big difference to the bass when you have an insulated box.

Damping also increases subwoofer efficiency by dissipating some energy that affects the sub, particularly the voice coil. It is advisable to put damping material inside a box. Pillow polyfill and fiberglass insulation are common, though polyfill is a lot easier on your skin. Polyfill also "tricks" a sub into thinking it is in a bigger box. Most sealed and vented enclosures require 1/2 lb. of dampening material per cubic foot of internal enclosure space. For best results it is recommended to loosely fill the material throughout the enclosure.

It can be found at Wal-Mart in the craft section. It’s the same stuff used for pillows or quilts. Sometimes called batting.

Though it is a very cheap guitar. It is favorite considerably. It uses it well with this YouTube.
It picks up, it is the circuit internal, is toggle switch of this guitar, and all contents of the guitar are remodeled for myself in short. Any face is not fiddled with. However, [esukasshon] has been changed. The peg and bridges are original. By the way, the bowstring always applies SLINKY TOP HEAVY BOTTOM10~52 of [a-] 2(red bag).

Ive been playin guitar for like a year and a half. And I love my amp. You maybe can gig with it but you can totally rock out on it. I have also been taking lessons for my short guitar life, but im not that serious about playing. I play like 40 minutes every day, but I dont want to lead my job into guitar. My amp has all contols I can get. Gain, Overdrive, Treble, Middle, Bass. The Distortion sounds awesome amp alone. Does the distortion pedal make disortion better. If so what kind should I get. And is a chorus pedal worth buying

I don’t think you need it, if there isn’t a particular OD sound you are looking for. Save the money.

When i play my mp3 files, the sound is distorted. It’s like a soft/low echo and i can’t hear it very clearly.
When I play videos on youtube, megavideo etc. The audio is quite distorted and its really annoying. =.=
IT doesn’t matter if I use speakers or a headset, it’s all the same. I’ve restarted the comp, but it still persists.
Any ideas on how to fix this? A thorough explanation or step by step solution would be greatly appreciated.

sounds liek your sound card isn’t working. If you have an onboard sound card buy a new pci sound card (i bought one resently for $40 AUSD). First i recommend trying to download some new drivers for you your sound. Go into device manager a find your sound device, select update drivers, windows should do it for you. If that doesnt work, try rolling back the drivers. If that fails buy a new sound card. you will be ammazed how much better a dedicated sound card sounds.

well im looking to buy an acoustic electric, and am curious how they sound through a distortion pedal. anybody try this? i wanna know if it sounds bad.

it depends on what you want to sound like. i have an acoustic and electric and have tried that. it sounds a little weird, but kinda cool…but that’s just me, and i’m weird! but i’d stick to regular acoustic electric

you can get distortion through your amplifier there is no instrument that comes distorted electric or other wise. most decent amps have a button one can push to get the distorted sound and a series of knob to increase or decrease the distortion
